Reverend Geraldine Colvin-Minister
Dedicated to life-long learning, Reverend Geraldine has completed the
Unity Peace Worker Training, CLMRS Training (Credentialed Leaders
and Ministries Review System), and the Thriving, Coherent, Integral
Church Leadership training. Reverend Geraldine has also extensively
studied Bowen Family Systems Theory at the Lombard Mennonite Peace
Center in Illinois, and is also a facilitator of “The Work of Byron Katie,” a
profound process of inquiry that results in lasting transformation.

Ordained in 1995 at Unity Institute (formerly Unity School of Religious
Studies), Reverend Geraldine earned a full scholarship for Excellence in
Ministry and was chosen to chair Unity’s first World Day of Prayer in
September 1994. She also worked in the Silent Unity Telephone Prayer
Room during her two years at Unity Institute, praying with callers from all
over the world. After ordination, Reverend Geraldine served at Unity
Church of Traverse City, Michigan from 1995-1999. A native of the
Chicago area, Reverend Geraldine lived for ten years in Washington,
D.C., where she served as a Licensed Unity Teacher at Unity of
Washington, D.C., before entering ministerial school.

Reverend Geraldine’s interests include a love of animals, teaching, travel,
working out, mysticism, poetry and art. She also loves to dance!

Reverend Geraldine Colvin (“Rev”) has
served as Minister of Unity Church of Christ
since June 2000. In addition to her
ministerial role, she is the Director of the
Dorothy Long Wee Wisdom Preschool, a
vital part of the community since 1981. She
broadcasts a weekly “Good News” radio
program
, which has been on the air since
the mid-1970s.
Reverend Geraldine is active in the Great
Lakes Unity Region and has served on the
Regional Board and on Ministry Teams for
the Association of Unity Churches
International, including the Radio Media
Ministry Team.
